LOCO BLOCO

Welcome Back!

We’re excited to kick off the Fall Season and announce this year’s theme for our annual Día de los Muertos production:

Raíces Ancestrales (Ancestral Roots)

Raíces Ancestrales invites reflection on the legacies, cultures, and histories that shape our multi-ethnic community. Loco Bloco welcomes you to be part of this season of remembrance and celebration through a variety of experiences — including dance, drumming, community events, and our annual procession.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved percussion instructor, Tico Dos Santos: Your energy and spirit is still alive within our hearts and minds. You are a powerful expression of Divine love and joy. Thank you for everything you shared and taught us. We will continue to sing, dance and drum, knowing that you are now guiding us from the ancestor realm. And in our still moments, we will hear the sound of your drumming, voice and music. Obrigado.

Founded by community-based artists and activists in 1994, Loco Bloco provides THE BIPOC COMMUNITY with transformational arts experiences to foster dialogue, engagement and unity between diverse cultures in Bay Area communities. Learn More…
